There is no regard for humans anymore, only numbers, but numbers don't push sales or stock shelves or fulfill any of the tasks a job may require. People do! I'd also like to know if you have a copy of this with sources, I don't think enough people are fully aware of what is going on in our country, they are too scared of loosing their jobs. However, if everyone was aware of how poorly we are doing as a nation, individuals may start to ban together and try and make change.
