Reading Materials:

“Nomad” by Ayaan Hirsi Ali. The author writes that her former faith, is "not just ugly but monstrous." Not just the Al Qaeda variety. All Islam. Read the book and discover a woman with powerful personality and with a life worthy of a book, as Bob Drogin wrote (via Los Angeles Times).

The Happiness Project: Or, Why I Spent a Year Trying to Sing in the Morning, Clean My Closets, Fight Right, Read Aristotle, and Generally Have More Fun. This is a book by Gretchen Rubin. A happiness project that can inspire everybody (Story Circle Book Reviews).

On Tuesday, June 15th the AAUW invites you to a luncheon presentation of a groundbreaking new research report about bringing more girls and women into STEM fields: Why So Few?
